Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility, and it starts at the top.
Fylde AP & Education Services is led by a qualified Designated Safeguarding Lead. Safeguarding is embedded into everything we do, from recruitment and induction, through to day-to-day practice and multi-agency working.
Our safeguarding commitments
- Enhanced DBS checks for all staff and tutors, with Update Service compliance
- A Single Central Record (SCR) maintained for all staff and contractors
- Safer recruitment procedures for all contractors and employees
- A named DSL and Deputy DSL, accessible to pupils, families and referring bodies
- Many of our tutors trained to advanced level in safeguarding
- Compulsory safeguarding training and ongoing CPD for all staff, with regular policy review
- Robust concern logging and referral procedures
- Attendance at multi-agency meetings, included as part of every package
- Our Safeguarding Policy is available on request
