Referral process

Straightforward from first contact to first session.

We know that when a referral reaches us, there is usually a young person who needs support quickly. We keep our process simple, responsive, and clear, so provision can begin without unnecessary delay.

  1. 1

    Get in touch

Tell us about the young person, including their year group, reason for referral, and the setting and hours you’re looking for. We’ll then send our referral form, which covers risk, needs and any reasonable adjustments.

  2. 2

    Matching & allocation

We match the pupil to the right tutor — experience, subject and relational fit. We don’t just fill a slot.

  3. 3

    Planning & onboarding

We complete a risk assessment and a behaviour and support plan, and hold a stakeholder meeting with the relevant professionals. We also contact parents or carers to go through our onboarding forms.

  4. 4

    Confirmation & start date

Typically confirmed within 10 working days, and permanent exclusions prioritised from day six, in writing with timetable, tutor details and SLA.

  5. 5

    Ongoing monitoring

Each pupil has an Individual Learning Plan (ILP), reviewed every 6 weeks. Regular reports on attendance, engagement and progress are shared directly with commissioners, and we hold regular meetings with schools, the local authority and other relevant professionals.

  6. 6

    Review & adapt

Reviews keep provision aligned to the pupil’s reintegration goals or longer-term plan, and we adapt quickly.

We believe every young person deserves access to education that builds confidence and independence. Get in touch to start the conversation.
